What is Omnilux new-U?
Omnilux new-U is a handheld, Light Emitting Diode (LED) device for the treatment of the effects of aging; in particular, periorbital wrinkles – crows feet. Its patented technology bathes the skin in red and near infrared light. A study has also demonstrated improvements in skin tone and clarity.

How does it work?
Omnilux combination phototherapy works with the body’s own natural processes to counteract the effects of aging. The different colored lights target specific cells which are responsible for the synthesis and repair of the skin’s supportive structures.

What will I see?
In a study of 22 subjects using Omnilux new-U, 8 out of every 10 subjects reported improvements in skin smoothness after the recommended course of treatments. Furthermore, the trial showed 7 out of every 10 subjects reported a visible reduction in crows feet, with improvements continuing at least 7 weeks after treatment.

What happens during a treatment?
With your unit you will find 8 skincare packs. These skincare packs contain specially-formulated skincare to use in conjunction with Omnilux new-U to maximize your results.

• Cleanse the face using the Preparation Tri-pak.
• Apply the treatment serum from the Treatment Tri-pak to the entire face.
• Use Omnilux new-U as directed.
• After the treatment, apply the Aftercare Tri-pak to the entire face.
• Wait at least 48 hours before your next treatment.

What results can be expected from a series of treatments?
Optimum results will be seen between 4-8 weeks after treatment. The light stimulates natural processes that go on after the treatment has stopped. In studies; 7 out of 10 subjects reported a visible reduction in periorbital wrinkles and 7 out of 10 reported an improvement in skin clarity after the recommended course of treatments.

How many treatments will I need?
The course of treatments is 2-20 minute treatments per week for 4 weeks of alternate near infrared and red light. However, because the light will not damage your skin, there is no limit on the number of treatments you can have.

How long do the results last?
Once again, this depends on the procedure and the original conditions being treated. Skin rejuvenation is a dynamic process, and natural expression lines (i.e. lines caused by laughing, smiling, frowning and crying) will gradually return in the course of time. Since we can’t stop the aging process; we recommend follow up treatments (typically 2 to 4 treatments) every month dependent upon your lifestyle.

Is Omnilux new-U safe and painless?
Yes. Subjects on our clinical trials have reported some skin redness after the first 1-2 treatments, but this is only temporary and will fade. This scientifically designed light source does not contain any harmful UVA or UVB rays.

How does Omnilux technology differ from Laser Treatment?
Light Therapy is non-ablative, meaning it does not cut, burn or break the skin surface (epidermis) as with Laser treatment. Lasers use heat and light to vaporize or remove skin tissue to evoke a healing response in the skin over 1 to 4 months. Even so-called “gentle lasers”, which leave the skin intact, create microscopic wounds on 15 to 20% of the skin surface and cause redness for up to a week with some flaking as the skin regenerates. Omnilux technologies produce no heat, vaporization or burning of surrounding tissue, and thus, no inflammation (swelling) and no erythema (redness) following irradiation, and therefore “no downtime”. With Omnilux technology there are some immediate, visible changes to skin, but most changes occur naturally over a few weeks at the cellular level. Optimal results, such as improvements in fine lines and wrinkles, skin tone, clarity, firmness and elasticity are seen 9-12 weeks from the start of the treatment course.

When should I use Omnilux Clear-U?
Use Omnilux Clear-U at the first sign of an acne breakout. The treatment program consists of 8 treatment sessions spread over 4 weeks, 2 treatments a week. Use the blue light on the first treatment session; wait 2 days, then use the red light. Repeat this for the next 3 weeks.

What happens during treatment?

• Apply 20 minutes of light therapy, starting with blue light.
• After the treatment, apply the Aftercare Tri-pak to the entire face.
• Wait at least 48 hours until your next light treatment. (alternating thereafter between blue and red light).

How does the treatment work?
One of the key bacteria responsible for the inflammation is Propionibacterium acnes (P.acnes). This bacteria produces natural chemicals called poryphyrins, which are sensitive to light at different wavelengths. When your skin is flooded with blue and red light, the bacteria self destructs and inflammation is decreased. Your acne fades and your skin heals. It’s as simple as that!

What results can be expected from a series of treatments?
